Posada is the Latest Yankee Headed to the DL

According to WFAN's Sweeny Murti, Jorge Posada is headed to the DL with a right hamstring strain. No word or who will replace him. More info as it comes.

This is a huge loss.

Does this maybe increase the chances of A-Rod coming back Friday?

Probably gunna see Cash recalled.

Well he is a HUGE bat but i guess the one thing you can look at is the fact that our pitching has done better with Molina behind the plate .. now I mean we really needed to look into a solid hitting catcher this off season .. I like molina .. but we all knew with posada this was a possibility

The Yankees dont need to go out and get a catcher this offseason. I would like to see Cervelli get a chance.

Huge loss. What is frustrating is we never had our full team this season. A-Rod is coming back now Posada is out. Bruney, Marte and Nady are on the DL.

Jorge been one of the better clutch hitters on the team this year hopefully he will only be on the DL for not too long. I'm hoping by June we will actually get our full team on the field.

daneptizl...he sure has the arm for it but he cant hit the strike zone from 60ft 6in what makes you think he will make a good throw to 2nd base????

Crap. Hopefully he won't be out for too long.

But this does give a chance for Cervelli, Cash, and hell, Jesus Montero, to show their stuff.

The more I think about it, the more I think these injuries have something to do with the conditioning/exercise regimen used by the Yankees. I know Jorge's a bit on the "older" side and we can expect injuries in guys his age (he's younger than me, I need to add here), I'm still wondering if the Yankees training "plan" has something to do with all of these injuries.
