A-Rod Pumped For First Game in New Stadium

From Mark Feinsand:
Alex Rodriguez will get his first look at the ballpark he'll call home for the next nine years, making his debut Friday night at the new Yankee Stadium.

"I hope a good one," Rodriguez said when asked how he thought his reception would be. "I'm not sure."
"All the guys have been telling me about it, so I'm excited to see our new home," he said. "For me, it's like Opening Day all over again. I'm excited to see the locker room, batting cages, video room."

i think he'll get cheered...we need this guy, so i would assume he'll get cheers tonight...but like you said, a few bad games and the cheers will become boo's...

1-4 HR 2 RBI

the jet stream is something the yankees need. They cant manufacture runs and they have trouble hitting with RISP.

They always look for the big home run to bail them out. So the new stadium should be an advantage to them.

I never understood many Yankee fans preoccupation with booing ARod. He's going to be here for a long time and he's a great player. Yeah, he has done and said some stupid things. His comments about Jeter are the ones I think he has never been forgiven for.

But the team needs him to be good and we should all support him.

I won't be there tonight but I'll be cheering him at home.

Crossfire, I agree with you. Yeah A-Rod is retarded at times, but he is a good player and he will be here for a while, so everyone just needs to get used to him.
