We are extending a personal invitation to a limited number of people, to either meet at our Preview Center in Rockefeller Center or at Yankee Stadium, before or after a game, so as to spend a few minutes telling us how we are doing and how we can make the “Yankee Stadium Experience” even better.Seems like the Yanks know the new place needs work and they want to good part is that it seems like they're very interested in fixing the problems. I don't have season tickets so I did not get an email. If it were me, the first think I would do is suggest that they get rid of the moat, moves the walls in right-center and left center back so they are actually the same as the old place get rid of the Mohegan Sun Bar, and deo something about monument

I noe people want to move monument park but were in the world are they gonna move it.
get rid of that damn resturant in center so the Bleachers can see the whole field.

Not sure where they can move it, but it's so hitting in center.
I would change the distance to right field another 10-15 feet more, and close up those pours on the Stadium's grandstand.
Didn't they change the distances like every offseason back in the 70's?
I don't know if I should call them pours, but you know what I'm talking about right?
Lower ticket prices I'm sure will be a popular topic. The restaurant in the middle is also really stupid considering tickets for those is expensive.
I want the old "blue" back on the walls. The dark blue is so "Shea", every time I see the OF walls it looks like Shea Stadium!
Definitely get rid of Mohegan Sun Bar. But my biggest complaint was trying to get out after the game. The stairwells leading down from the Terrace sections were more cramped and narrow than the old ramps.
Yep. Lower ticket prices, do something about all the home runs, remove the mohegan sports bar, change the outfield wall color back to the old blue, and then we may have a stadium we can call awesome.
Stop doing Cotton Eye Joe. Seriously. I know it has nothing to do with the physical stadium, but I can't believe they brought that garbage over.
And get rid of YMCA too. It's annoying and even when they show the closeups of the grounds crew, they look like they are annoyed to be doing it. It was kind of funny the first time I saw it (was it 96?) but it has gone on way too long.

Sorry to hear your not a big fan of the stadium. I'm a season ticket holder and have been very pleased with my tickets and the stadium so far.Sure, its not perfect but it's great facility. I also had the chance to see Citi field yesterday. I wasn't impressed.I fely like I was at a Giant game.
Greg all of your suggestions are the same as mine but thats where they make the MONEY so they won't give two shits about fixing it.
While Citi is a ripoff of Ebbets and the decks are aligned strangely, I loved the open air environments and it at least gives Yankee a run for its money. They actually let the fans go almost anywhere for batting practice. In Yankee, $30 ticket gets you in the second to last row. In Citi, b/c it was a Nats game, a $30 ticket puts you near the field where the Modell's sign is.
I have the solution for the monument retard zone. The yankees problem, like most of MLB is they decided that they had to have sanitary uniform playing fields. The solution, screw the park, move all the monument stuff back into fair territory. They need to get rid of the ugly sports bar in center field and move the visitors pen over that way. Then, you push the left field wall back more until left center is about 450ft. Then the monuments move outside the wall into fair territory. Very few fly balls actually travel that distance so their would be little problem with them interfering with play. Put the retired numbers on the wall! Now everyone can see the monument stuff easily - return some pride to the stadium. THEN, you allow the fans to walk along the warning track to the monument area during the pre-game. Instant fan building move - everyone will love the yankees brass if they can walk on the field pre-game.
To keep the revenue of the sports bar you build the sports bar to wrap around the highest level of the bleachers.
I know it will never happen, but this would be the sensible thing.
Anon, I like the views from the seats and stuff, I just really miss the atmosphere of the old place.
I have not been there, but from I can see on TV it seems to me that if they ripped out that godawful sports bar in center field, Monument Park would be far more inviting, and the views from the bleachers would be better. Replace the sports bar with gently sloping black seats, like the old place.
Scott, I wish they would do that. The bar shouldn't be in that spot. It's ugly anyway. Really, does anyone actually like how that looks?
I made all my comments and suggestions back in December of 2007 on the contruction site and about a dozen times after that. With some imagination, there could be anumber of upgrades
The sports bar needs to go, however, the Yankees won’t get rid of it if it meant saving the earth from Armageddon. I’ve never been to the stadium so I don’t know how big the visiting bullpen is, but perhaps they could switch monument park with the visiting bullpen, that way the monuments at least won’t be hidden. Again, I don’t know how big the bullpen is, so I can’t say this with any competence.
