Joba Denies Shoulder Rumor

Yesterday I posted this about the rumor from Baseball Prospectus' John Perrotto about the Yankees keeping Joba out of the pen because of a shoulder issue that is supposedly keeping him from being able to warm up quickly. Last night Joba told Marc Carig of NJ.com that those rumors were false:
"Not at all," Chamberlain said after his start on Monday night. "I don't know where that came from."

Girardi also denied the snippet, which was listed under the "AL Rumors and Rumblings" section of Perrotto's column on Sunday.

"That's not the reason we haven't put him in the bullpen," Girardi said. "The reason we haven't put him in the bullpen is because we envision him as a starter."
Based on yesterday's performance I'm going to have to take Joba's word on this one. I don't think he could throw the ball that well with a bad shoulder.

lol yea I saw it.

He said some crap about if Joba wants to promise that he'll last until the eighth than he'll be happy with him in any role, which is a mindless statement, but at least he's not going on and on about putting him in the pen. That's nice for a change. Instead he's destroying Putz for having another crappy game last night.

Thats what bothered me, Fatcessa just says "As long as Joba gives Mo the ball, I'm a happy guy. If Joba wants to do that everytime, I'll accept it."

Which you are right, it is mindless. Because, 1. No way does Joba do that everytime out. 2. The was a flash of what Joba is capable of down the line, after he gains experience as a starter(Something Fatcessa forgets about) and 3. Fat ass, eeerrrr, Fatcessa is pseudo saying Joba needs to go 8 to be accepted as a starter.

I really dont like him too him.

But he did rip Putz.

I am still waiting him to go off on Joba for diving at the pop-up bunt.

This is where Francesa looks like a fool, and why I took exception to being compared to one of his drones yesterday.

If Joba proves he can handle the workload over a full season, and at least gets into the 7th inning regularly, he obviously should be a starter.

That's where my doubts come in.

Yea Fat ass Fatcessa, Joba would be the closer if mo gets hurt BC THATS WHAT GIRARDI SAID way back at the start of the season.

NYSJ,

Yea, sorry about that. You do actually make valid points, unlike Francesa.
