The Yankees took a look at Pedro Martinez in the Dominican Republic and informed the right-handed pitcher they will pass on signing him.Like I said yesterday, the only way I would have liked the Yanks to take a chance on Pedro was if he would relieve and take a minor league deal, and from what I've read he didn't seem open to either.
