The SWB Yankees defeated the Columbus Clippers (Indians) 2-1 behind Kei Igawa's 8th win. The victory was Igawa's 27th win at SWB and set a SWB franchise record for career wins, breaking the record held by Evan Thomas when SWB was a Phillies franchise.

He held Columbus scoreless thru the first 3 innings, on 1 single and a hit batter. In the 4th, a 2 out walk and single were stranded. Igawa gave up leadoff singles in the 5th and 6th innings, but stranded the runners. He finished strong with a perfect 7th. Igawa picked up the win (8-3). Igawa's line: 7.0 IP, 0 runs, 4 hits, 4 K--1 walk, 90 pitches--62 strikes, 7 groundouts--10 flyouts.

The Yankees didn't get another hit off Carmona until the 7th when Colin Curtis hit a leadoff double. Curtis scored on a rbi groundout by Eric Duncan to give SWB a 2-0 lead. The Yanks threatened in the 8th when Ramiro Pena singled and stole 2nd, but was stranded.
