Huh?

Greg Cohen said...

Yes, they're only going with 8 today.

What do you guys think of Mike's posts this morning regarding Hughes' change and Harang/Arroyo. I'm intrigued by Harang, because at times in his career he's been really good. Wonder what he would cost.

Greg Cohen said...

No runs, but so far it looks like the same crap from Joba. 23 pitches/11 strikes, really has no idea how to put hitters away.

Terrible Swisher, terrible...

Greg Cohen said...

What the hell is he thinking? Why would you play that ball that way. There was no way he was gonna catch that.

Luckily, Joba still escaped. Nicely done.

Greg Cohen said...

That was pretty impressive. He's still struggling with walks and command, but a major improvement for Joba so far today. Another good inning and I'd be very happy with this start.

Is the real Joba back? Looks like it.

Greg Cohen said...

I don't know about all that, but he was hitting 96-97 that entire inning.

Anonymous said...

Greg, would you leave Joba in?

Greg Cohen said...

He's at 98 pitches, but it's the 8-9-1 in the Tigers lineup so I'd send him out there and take him out if anyone gets on or 110-112 pitches, whatever comes first.

... TEX gives the Yanks a 2-1 lead with HR no. 23.

... So yea, I'd leave him in.

Anonymous said...

Anyone else notice A-Rod didn't give Tex a high-five when he crossed the plate?

Mike N. said...

Let Joba start the 7th but get Hughes ready

Greg Cohen said...

I actually saw that too, anon. It's probably nothing, but you never know.

Mike N. said...

Missed that anon

Greg Cohen said...

What's going on Mike? How you liking old timers day so far?

Mike N. said...

So far so good, Yanks are winning, Joba's throwing heat, and I got tix for tomorrow.

Greg Cohen said...

Nice, enjoy the game man.

Mike N. said...

Joba's throwing gas

Greg Cohen said...

Wow, Hughes.

Greg Cohen said...

NICE! One out!
