News & Notes
- A.J. Burnett is 8-1, 4.83 in ten starts against Baltimore in his career. He faced them one time this season, back on April 9 in Baltimore. That day he allowed two runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings. He also walked one and struck out six.

Nice quick 4-0 lead for the Yanks. Burnett doesn't look so great, but he usually figures out a way.
How's everyone doing on this fine afternoon?
Terrible....
great now hopefully we can get a double play ball and concede the 1 run.. swish u idiot
lmao... that curve was filthy...
Way to go Swish!!!
Way to get out of a jam AJ!!!
Why are you doing terrible, Dane?
I'm listening to the game on the radio. How great was Swish's catch?
Very nice grab Crossfire.
Hip Hip!
I was wondering if it would be confusing... the terrible was referring to Swisher I.
Oh lol.
i love Cano but if he doesn't start running out some of these weak ground balls, Roberts took that 1 very lackadasical, the lack of hustle by him, in infuriating..
Jorge juiced one!
Sometimes Sterling drives me nuts but sometimes he still humors me.
He makes more mistakes than ever... and that is saying a lot... and he has become a parody of himself. But part of me still likes him. But he really needs to be reeled in a bit.
Waldman on the other hand is simply horrible.
Mario, that has always driven me nuts about him too. Great player who lacks hustle.
If he was on first instead of Teixeira in the Castillo game, he probably wouldn't have scored despite being much faster than Tex.
Here's what I just sent John Henry on Twitter:
@John_W_Henry ... Way to put all that pressure on the Yanks with the LaRoche deal... LOLOLOL
lol
Meh, Hughes warming...
damn Posada, block that shit...
Tough pitch to block, but still, he could have done more than that.
Yeah tough pitch, but he just dropped to the ground, rather than dropping and trying to center the ball with the torso, and keeping the glove between the legs, so that the ball doesn't bounce off like that... sucks that it counts as an earned run.
That's not good to see from Bruney.
Oh crap! Back to back! Bruney looks like shit again!
Two strike outs and then two homers.
WTF??? I know he hasn't worked in a week and a half but if he keeps pitching like that, he won't pitch for another week and a half.
B.S. that Mo has to come in to get the save when he should have had the day off.
Yanks win!!!
Way to go Mo!!!
yeahhh !
Those two homers are going to do Bruney's fragile confidence a power of good. It's great that Girardi can completely trust Mo, Phil and Ace (and maybe Coke for one or two outs in the 8th) but the rest of the pen will need to make a contribution somewhere down the line, otherwise they'll be spent come October.
I still have faith that Bruney will turn it around. He was very good before he went on the dl and he was very good last year.
Right now just use him in mop up hopefully he gets better with his command and then when he gets back to being himself he can be used a lot more in high end situations.
Bruney said after the game he was happy with the way he pitched. Let's see -giving up 2 home runs and getting pulled for Mo. That sounds good to me... NOT
