I guess we don't have to worry about Holliday now

That's because today the Cardinal acquired the now former Athletic for third baseman Brett Wallace, Triple-A right-hander Clayton Mortensen, and Double-A outfielder Shane Peterson. Oakland also paid $1.5 million of Holliday's contract.
Wallace, 22, was St. Louis' first-round pick in the 2008 Draft and has rocketed through the Minor Leagues. He is currently playing at Triple-A Memphis
Well, that should make navigating through the A's lineup that much easier for the Yanks lineup over the next three days.

NYPost reporting rumor that Rays are interested in moving kazmir to get halladay ! that would nuts if t.b got halladay

If TB goes after Halladay I expect major pressures put on by the Yankees and Sox. That move could knock either one out of the playoff hunt.

That would suck. They'd be so tough with Halladay.

If Tampa gets Halladay it puts them in the mix with Boston and New York but it doesn't put them miles ahead. It definitely would add another element to the divison and Wild Card race but I wouldn't panic.

Pete Abe says a deal is about to close with Halladay going to Philly. He is pitching tonight, so it'll be interesting if he gets pulled from the game.
