Marte Throws in Rehab Game

According to Erik Boland, Damaso Marte, threw 12 pitches in his first rehab game today in Tampa for the Gulf Coast League Yankees. In one inning against the GCL Pirates Marte allowed one run and two hits. He's set to throw again on Saturday.

Like I said yesterday, I totally understand if nobody cares about this, but I still felt like sharing it with you, after all it is Yankees news.

Maybe Cash can package Marte, Igawa, and Ransom for some bats and a few subway tokens?

They better keep him in AAA or lower until he learns to pitch again.

Bring back Marte when healthy then DFA Tomko. Make Mark Melancon the long man. Girardi said he can go up to 45 pitches and I think it will be a nice learning experience for him.
