This live chat thing seems pretty cool. I'm excited to try it. It will be much easier to make comments and read everything rather than posting every time.

i fucking hate espn's baseball coverage for a game, not to mention joe morgan, jon miller & steve phillips, they all are bias, and right now, luis tiant hasn't shut up for like the entire game,

I could see that HR coming a mile away - another instance of Girardi trying to be too cute. Hughes, Hughes, Hughes. Joe Retardi - I'm so sick of this guy.

Shame Andy not going to get the win but feels great sweeping the dreaded Sox. Hughes seemed to feel Andy's pain too in the pen - knew he shoud have been in there to keep the shutout streak going.

Joe mentioned in the past that he will not use Hughes 3 days in a row because he is a starter and not used to being a reliever.

After this series the Yanks sit 6.5 games ahead of boston leaving Boston tied for the wild card lead and the Yankees with the best record in all of MLB. Time for the BoSox to worry?

Coke is a good lefty specialist he is going to get in trouble facing rightys especially the quality of Victor Martinez.

According to Girardi only Coke, Gaudin and Mariano were available today. You play a 15 inning game on Friday it will have an effect on your bullpen the next couple of games.

They are protecting Hughes they will not use him three days in a row.
