ESPN’s E:60 Reports on Special Day at Yankee Stadium for Young Fan

ESPN's award-winning primetime newsmagazine E:60 visits New York’s Yankee Stadium in the episode airing Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. ET. Yankee players Andy Pettite, Joba Chamberlain and Alex Rodriguez befriended an 11-year-old boy and gave his little league baseball team a memorable experience.

ESPN’s E:60, which launched in October 2007, combines investigative reporting, in-depth profiles of intriguing sports personalities and features on emerging star athletes. These stories are presented in a fresh and innovative format that incorporates producer/correspondent meetings.

Yankee Boy

The story of 11-year-old Tom Ellenson is an extraordinary one. Growing up with cerebral palsy, Ellenson could not walk or speak. But his father created a device that allowed him to communicate as a kid his age would, and his “voice” inspired a little league baseball team in New York City to excel. Ellenson’s magic touch with the team got the attention of the New York Yankees, and Andy Pettite, Joba Chamberlain and Alex Rodriguez visited Ellenson and his teammates. Then, the Yankees gave Ellenson and his teammates a day at Yankee Stadium they will never forget. ESPN’s E:60 was given exclusive access to document Ellenson’s day spent with the Yankees, including a ceremonial first pitch different than any other first pitch in Major League Baseball history. Rachel Nichols reports.

A preview clip of the feature can be viewed here.

No problem, man. It was a bit of a crazy one. A lot of Sox trolls trying to come on and bother us. But I banned most of them.

Great win the yankees have pretty much locked up the division.

The yanks played horrible defense the entire series and still won 2 out of 3

the red sox trolls are all in group therapy with Anon. They were so cocky after the first 8 games but they don't seem to be so cocky anymore.

I'm so happy I don't even care about having to go into work tomorrow (sorry, today)! Especially with a couple of big Sox fans to pay back. He who laughs last...

hahahah glad to see all my fellow Yankees fans happy. It was a very good weekend. Heck, it's been a very good two+ months.

Made it back from a crazy game, nearly got kicked out for yelling and screaming at a lot of people. Had beer thrown at me, but I fired pizza and fries to throw back at them. 2 of my buddies got kicked out for dumping beer on a dude head. Speaking of getting kicked out, my buddy Jay was as security say "removed for disorderly conduct for disobeying orders to take his "F Youk" shirt because it's offensive, by putting it back on." WTF

Nothing better then getting the last laugh a the rivals house.

I also got in a minor altercation with a Sox fan at a bar earlier in the day, He swung at me, I swung at him, knocked out a tooth, and hit him a few times, then waited for the cops. They told me not much could be expected other then a court date. They said it wasn't serious b/c he came at me, which everyone in the bar shockingly agreed on, so I'm not responsible, self defense. Love it when that happens.

Hopefully the Yankees continue to gain ground and bury the Sox for good.

Hey Durden. Jay told us the story of his F-Youk shirt. I can't believe they kicked him out for that. He also told us about your "minor altercation." Heard you knocked the crap out of the guy. Good for you man.

Great game to be at, glad you saw a win and had a good time.
