the batting practice piece on the molina family was touching....except kim jones smiling through it all
hahahahhaha
Jeter is amazing.
How can you call two pitch-outs with Joba on the mound? He has enough trouble throwing strikes as it is.
lol check that... three pitch-outs and they still can't get the runner. So now he's behind 3-1 on Beckham and the runner is on third. WTF kind of managing is that?
More overmanaging by Girardi. You should be used to it by now Greg.
Yea, I guess you're right.
Halladay continuing to prove he doesn't belong on a team with a chance. Boston is already winning 1-0 in the first.
Way to go Johnny!
Go Johnny, Go Johnny, Go Johnny, Go Johnny, Go, Go, Go!
Big knock by JD, but this new incarnation of the Joba rules is a joke. Three innings? Does't just mean that they're going to have to stretch him out as the season whines down?
Guys, why is Aceves already in? Just arrived. Are they limiting him like that?
Go Bombers.
Yup, that's what they're doing.
Halladay is getting out pitched by f'n Paul Byrd, unbelievable
Whatever, as long as the Yanks keep it up it doesn't even matter. Also, whens the next live chat Greg?
I'll have one tomorrow night, BC.
Great, the live chats are awesome.
BC, it's easy outpitching someone when your lineup is as strong as the Red Sux on.
Exchange the lineups and you'll see Halladay shutting the Jays out.
Toronto is going nowhere, don't expect them to bother the Sox too much, the sweep is a given.
Go Bombers.
The way there are handling Joba, he better stay healthy, because otherwise there is gonna be a lot of second gessing about how the season could have gone had they used him regularly (if they don't win it all of course).
Go Bombers.
Leadoff double for Pedroia to start the third. I think Halladay is trying to give up a run an inning.
By the way, J.P. Riccardi is the worst GM in baseball. Between not trading Halladay and then literally giving away Rios he deserves to be fired.
Halladay said he wanted to stay at the Jays, yet ever since the trade deadline, he's pitched like crap. Mind you, it wouldn't matter if they scored five runs in the first against Boston. They'd still lose.
And 3 innings for Joba was a joke. How many pitches did he throw?
35 Bruce.... Nice pick by A-Rod to start the DP. He's been playing a lot better third base lately.
Halladay continues to embarrass himself... So make it 4-0 (a run in each inning) with another run in the 4th.
Thought Garcia was going to get touched up for a few runs early doors here, but he's hung in there pretty well...or maybe we haven't hit him that well.
Halliday has not been the same pitcher since he went on the DL. Very inconsistent.
The Jays really don't know how to play baseball. They get the leadoff man on in the 5th and they have Scutaro bunt, down 4-0. Brainless.
Bring Hughes in!!!!!
Anon, Joe listened to you.
Ok... now lets score a few insurance runs.
I had a really good feeling about Melky's at bat and he came through.
TEX!!!
Like that crossfire?!?! Did you see Tex's eyes light up? Is he really throwing me that? Let's go Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice job by the bullpen. Good win. Dont know what to say about Joba. He didn't pitch very long to judge him. I guess the most important thing for Joba to do is just hit his innings limit. So next year no more of this.
Good win, the Yanks have to put away these kind of teams. Baltimore won't rollover like the ChiSox did, so the Yanks have to be ready to play.
I'm not a Girardi fan, but at least when the Yanks were out of it last year, the team didn't quit and played hard the rest of the year. I give him credit for that.
The WhiteSox and BlueJays should be ashamed of themselves for the way they are just showing up. Almost like watching the Washington Generals.
Yeah Bruce, Tex's eyes lit up like a kid at Christmas.
He's having a hell of a season and Jeter has been nothing short of incredible.
I'm so impressed by the year Jeter is having. A lot of people thought he was on the way down and he's sure shut them up.
Jeter is having an MVP year. I think he is a better candidate than Teixeira. Teix is having a great year but his numbers are not very different from the other sluggers in the league. Like Miguel Caberera, Kendry Morales etc etc.
To me Jeter is having one of the best years in his career.
