Posada hit on ring finger - aggrevated old injury. X rays negative. Day 2 day.He won't play tomorrow and I'd be surprised to see him on Friday either. But thank goodness it's not broken.

Yeah, it would be bad time to lose Jorge.
Cervelli (AAA) is just back from an injury himself.
It's almost September and the way SWB Yanks are playing, they may not last long in the playoffs, so the callups may not be that far away.
With Jorge day to day, I wonder if there is a roster move coming.
I saw the interview and he looks ok but i don't think there is any chance he catches tomorrow or maybe even Friday.
A Cervelli call up tomorrow maybe?
He's definitely not catching tomorrow, he wasn't going to anyway since it's a day game after a night game. I agree with you, he'll probably miss Friday's game too. They would have to send down a pitcher to make room, not sure who would go, though.
Good news about Jorge. His 3-run homer set the tone but the key play was probably the double play on Pudge in the first. That settled Andy P down. My first visit to the new Stadium tonight. Lucky enough to have seats in the Legends area by first base. What an awesome experience. Worth every cent (well, nearly!).
