First I'd like to pass along this bit of info from Amalie Benjamin who is reporting that the Yankees put a claim in on Red Sox outfielder Chris Carter. It's unlikely that a deal with be made since the Yankees and Sox have the relationship they do, but the claim hurts the Mets who would likely have claimed him and been able to work out a deal.
UPDATE: As was expected, the Red Sox pulled Carter back and will deal him to the Mets this offseason as part of the Billy Wagner deal..
Besides that you can use this to discuss whatever you'd like; today ugly loss, the Red Sox-White Sox game, Jeter and Minka Kelly's future marriage, Brad Penny, Ted Kennedy, heath care, any good movies you've seen lately (anyone see Inglorious Basterds yet?) and so on... Again, whatever you want. Enjoy your night.

Why the hell would they want this bum?
Not really sure about that.
Inglorious Basterds was the best Tarantino film since Pulp Fiction. Awesome flick.
Nice, I can't wait to see it.
Chicago just took a 1-0 lead over Boston in the second, they have runners on first and second with one out and Alexei Ramirez at the dish.
3-0 White Sox on Jayson Nix's 2-run double... Now 4-0 on Podsednik's RBI single.
I took my 2 year old to the game today. We had no intentions of staying long but I wanted to get him into the Stadium it's first year.
We left after the third inning and therefore missed the carnage.
I heard Burnett say that he only made one mistake today. Actually he made three in a row. Two 2 out walks and then a homer.
But all in all he pitched very well. The team was just flat.
Yea, he pitched fine, they should have won today. Too many miss opportunities and Coke stunk. Still, that's great the you were able to take your boy to the game. If Boston loses tonight I may actually be happy they lost because Texas would gain some ground in the wild card.
Oh... and my mets fan wife wore her mets stuff and proceeded to get her chops busted... which she expected.
Several mets fans came up to her and told her they gave her a lot of credit for wearing her mets gear because they didn't have the guts to do it.
Typical wussbag mets fans. lol
Every time I have been to Fenway or Shea, I wore my Yankees stuff.
My 2 yr old was in a Derkek Jeter jersey and Yankee hat. He looked great.
By the way, my wife thought Yankee Stadium was fantastic.
I just met Phil Hughes today. After the game he did a signing in Roosevelt Field Mall (for the Steiner store) and got a picture with him and a ball signed. He's pretty tall. That's my highlight for today.
Nice Robert, was he cool?
Oh that's tough CF, married to a Mets fan. My brother is a Mets fan and it's so hard for me not to throw their miserable season in his face, but he's cool about it so I let him slide.
7-0 White Sox.... You can put it on the board! YES!
He was cool....9-0 Chicago! This Yankee loss won't be so bad after all.
9-0 ChiSox. Looks like the Yanks might catch a break tonight.
Yeah, my wife is a great woman but a die-hard mets fan.
I wanted to get my kid to Yankee Stadium in the inaugural season as part of the master plan to make him a Yankee fan. I got some great pics of him at the Stadium today.
I got a great picture of him last year outside RYS too. The Stadium was closed and they wouldn't let us in so I took him into the Yankee store. It was technically part of Yankee Stadium.
Just goes to show that if Burnett had just pitched half decent against the Sox at Fenway we would probably have swept them. Tazawa sucks, yet we were so far behind early on it didn't matter. He gave up 9 runs on 10 hits in four innings tonight. Hope he hasn't played the White Sox hitters into form!
Red Sox lost!
Thank god!
