I have a feeling that Burnett won't stink.

Brian Danuff said...

Me too.

Brian Danuff said...

I think he'll get on another roll starting tonight. He hasn't been THAT bad his last 2 starts.

Magic number is now 17!

Brian Danuff said...

17? Oh yeah!

Liam Gallagher said...

Pretty soon 16!

Liam Gallagher said...

I'm going with Jeters magic #4. I really want him to pass Gerhig so he can just put it all behind him.

Brian Danuff said...

Yeah. Maybe he'll have a 3 or 4-hit game tonight. He's going up against Andy Sonnanstine and a weak Rays bullpen.

Liam Gallagher said...

Will crossfire have a night to remember if Jeter as 4 hits tonight.

Liam Gallagher said...

*has

Any reason we keep using the devil rays logo? Could have sworn we were playing the Rays

Brian Danuff said...

So does my uncle.

Liam Gallagher said...

They are playing the Rays. Greg likes the old logos though. So do I.

Brian Danuff said...

Greg likes to use retro logos, so I guess I shouldn't change it.

Liam Gallagher said...

Your uncle is lucky if he sees Jeter pass Gerhig. Then that ticket would be worth a lot of money. But I would hang on to it though.

Liam Gallagher said...

Wasn't your uncle the one that showed you blogger?

Brian Danuff said...

No my other one.

Brian Danuff said...

He's pretty cool too, but not as big a Yankee fan as my other uncle. He does take me to a lot of games though.

Liam Gallagher said...

Oh. I found this blog on my own. Found it when Greg had his first post EVER. I was anon for a while then I trusted you guys so I started using my name.

Liam Gallagher said...

My uncle has a lot of money. But he's always busy. He loves the Yankees.

Brian Danuff said...

I found it because of his new stadium updates, and tha't all I used to look at. Then I just started following the entire blog and I started to love it. It's really awesome. I wish my blog was as good as his.

Brian Danuff said...

Same here. The uncle that brings me to Yankee games is pretty rich too. He's an entrepreneur, so he brings in close to $2,000 a week. It's crazy.

Liam Gallagher said...

I'm not a very good reader or a speller. But this site has helped me with that problem and my parents like me coming on here a lot because my grades are going up. And I have to thank Greg that.

Brian Danuff said...

Really? wow. good for you.

Liam Gallagher said...

My uncle is a lawyer.

Brian Danuff said...

oh

Liam Gallagher said...

I know a few friends that are big yankee fans. Maybe I can tell them about the site if you want.

Liam Gallagher said...

Your site I mean.

Brian Danuff said...

Thanks. I met a lot of die-hard fans at Yankee games this year and I give them flyers for my site and explain it to them and they go

"oh yeah, this is cool, defenitely I'll check it out" but in reality they don't give a crap.

Brian Danuff said...

I mean, I thought die-hards would at least give it a look but I haven't got 1 comment from any of them.

(besides you of course)

Brian Danuff said...

Then again, I never met you at a Yankee game.

Brian Danuff said...

Game time baby!

Liam Gallagher said...

Thanks for "Really? wow. good for you". My teachers, however, have very high hopes for me being a writer. I get a lot of 12s on writing assignments. Thats a 100%

Liam Gallagher said...

To be honest with you, when I went to a game this year, I told them about yours and Gregs site. They said,"uhhhhhhhhhh look nice play by A-Rod. Way to end the inning".

Brian Danuff said...

Yeah. My teachers say I'm the best writer in the class. I love writing, it's my favorite subject, besides reading at least.

When I grow up I either want to be a Yankees writer or a broadcaster for YES.

Brian Danuff said...

lol thanks

Liam Gallagher said...

I laughed.

BTW, I just told one of my friends about your site. He's going there now.

Brian Danuff said...

cool. thanks so much man.

Brian Danuff said...

Is he fond of blogger or Yankee sites?

Brian Danuff said...

1-0.

Brian Danuff said...

3 outs, finally! Where did everybody go?

Vinsanity13 said...

Hi guys.

Got a question: if Burnett does not improve before the postseason, would you pitch him or Andy in Game 2 of the ALDS?

I would start Andy, because given the offense (who can destroy anybody not name Doc Halladay), I would prefer Andy who is almost sure to give you 6-7 innings of 3/4 run-ball, instead of AJ who can pitch 8 shutout but can almost as often give up 7 runs on 11 hit in 3.2.

What do you think?

Go Bombers, as always.

Brian Danuff said...

I would defenitely start Andy, no doubt. Mainly because of how he's pitched compared to A.J. this year, and his experience of playing in the postseason.

So Vinsanity, what's up?

Liam Gallagher said...

I got my friend Nick. He said he'll be hear in a flash.

Brian Danuff said...

Cool.

Brian Danuff said...

Since the anniversary of 9/11 is coming up, do you want to here the craziest 9/11 theorie/conspiricy ever?

Vinsanity13 said...

Not too much, just started a new year in school in Paris. Looking forward to the postseason, more than ever.

This board is pretty boring without all the f*****g Red Sox/Mets trolls. Just kidding :).

I may come to NYC for Christmas with my family, I'd love to.

Go Bombers.

Liam Gallagher said...

I gotta go YB. Nick just came to your site.

Have a great night you all and lets hope that the Yankees are 9 games ahead after tonights game.

Brian Danuff said...

Yikes. Hope Hairston's okay.

Vinsanity13 said...

If AJ gives up this lead, you can just already send him to Detroit for Game 3 of the ALDS.

Hope he does not.

Go Bombers.

bruceb said...

Wow! What an inning. And I got home from a Labor Day bbq 15 mins too late. Just as well Joe G knows how to pick a lineup better than I do!

Mario said...

OK derek can't buy a hit, & AJ you've just been given a 8-1 lead, DON"T FUCK IT UP...

Brian Danuff said...

Hey guys. Where have you been? It's been a pretty slow night on the blog, but not for the Yanks.

What an inning. Too bad Derek hasn't gotten a hit today.

Anonymous said...

Were all over at your site YB..........

Great inning there for the offense. Now we need AJ to get some quick outs. Would like to see him go at least 7.

bruceb said...

DJ's waiting til Friday night when I'll be there! Weird day...everyone has a hit tonight except the man we all want to see get one.

Nick said...

Happy B-day Greg. The Yanks won for U. My Facebook account do disabled for adding to many friends. I will get it back tommorow. So I will have to call them. So happy B-Day and goodnight.

Was hoping to see history at the Stadium tonight. Didn't see history but saw an ass whoopin'.

I'm going to the game on Wednesday so I am hoping Jeter gets 3 hits tomorrow.

karen said...

I'm wondering why there's two tuesday's on the month scoreboard on the main yankees.mlb.com page. I'm a little bit confused.

crossfire said...

Hi Karen,

There was a double header at Yankee Stadium on Monday. My computer shows it as two Monday games but perhaps your computer recognizes that because you are half a day ahead of us because you are half way across the world from Yankee Stadium, (I forgot exactly where you live) it shows 2 games on Tuesday.
