I wonder why Pena isn't getting the start at short.
Same with Cervelli.
And Duncan, they should just have one game with all the bench players playing.
A-Rod has been playing such good baseball lately. Stupid baserunning by Crawford, though.
Whats up Greg?
Nothing much, just finished dinner. About to do the dishes.
Good, what was on the menu?
I like Johnny Damon & think he's a great guy, but if we resign him, that is what your gonna get next season. If the fly balls aren't hit almost exactly at him, that is what "we" will get on a nightly basis, I'm sorry, that money & roster spot could go to someone else, like Chone Figgins..
yeah, hariston needs a break, he's had more errors lately then hits or routine plays...
How you guys doing tonight? Just finished my load of homework, so i'm good.
Good for you YB. I finished most of mine. I have to read something. Thats something before bed though.
Yeah. That's what I usually do when I have to read something - do it right before going to bed.
Something to dream about. What you just read. I did that alot when I was reading the Yankee Years.
Man, can you believe we're almost done with the inagural season of the new Yankee Stadium? It's like we watched it get constructed, then we started to really anticipating it, and now, it's here!
Hey, the Wanger is back! At least in the dugout at least. That's a start.
Yeah I know. It's been a great year.
Still miss the old house. I love the new park, don't get me wrong, but nothing will ever be like the House that Ruth Built.
Nice, I want him to come back next season. We need some pitching if Hughes has an innings limit next season.
I had grilled chicken, potatoes and salad.
If they resign Damon it will be to DH most of the time.
I love the old stadium. Nice and simple. You don't need all of these restarnts or stuff like that. I mean, I like the new stadium too with all it's new stuff but your only there for 3 hours.
SEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YA!!
I made myself a BMT.
BMT or BLT?
I gotta go now. My brother has to do homework. Have a great night guys.
GO YANKS!
BMT. See ya!
I had leftover macaroni & cheese and barbacued grilled chicken. It was awesome.
Swishalicious.
been a while fellas, hows everyone? yankees are on a nice little roll huh.. cant wait for the playoffs to start
I'm good Durden. Yeah I am dying for the playoffs to start.
This is the first time in a while I'm not that interested in watching the regular season games. I mean, I do, but I'm not too into it unless it's a walkoff or something. The only games I'm really still looking foward to is the Boston series in the Bronx on Sept. 25-27th.
In one of those games we could even clinch. It would be awesome to do it against Boston for once.
Jeter is up. Where did everybody go?
Shit. He struck out again. 0-10 in last 10.
Hey Durden, how's it going?
Now you gotta start focusing on Jeter getting out of his 2-day slump, not breaking the record. I mean, of course that's still on our minds, but he's 0-10 and needs to slap out of it. I think this is the first time I've seen Jeet struggle when he's on the verge of doing something special. He never really has feeled the pressure before, not saying that he is though.
Ha!!! That was pornstar Daisy Marie at the game that Michael Kay showed when he showed the smiles of the game.
R u serious? lol I missed it... DVR time.
Flaherty is a moron. I guess he didn't watch Joba dominant the red sox last year at fenway. Or the games against Tampa, Detroit and Cleveland this year. I dont think a reliever can pitch those games.
Nice job comparing Joba to Sabathia. Sabathia is making 161 million and Joba is very young and inexperienced pitcher.
Anon, what inning did this happen?
Early innings. I forgot which one. 1 to 3in. Right before he showed the lil kid throw his hat.
Another big hit for A-Rod. Yanks lead 2-0.
Its been going. Been busy with class and school work, legal studies is kicking my ass.
Yankeeboy I know what you mean, with a 9 game lead its hard to stay interested for too long sometimes.
Anyone else think Maddon looks ridiculous with the jet black hair?
Phil Coke can be frustrating at times, nothing bothers me more then a guy who comes in and walks the first guy he sees.
'least he got Crawford.
Jeter needs a hit here. Not because of the record, we need a baserunner.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo close.
Nice play.
Hughes was bound to blow one. A lot of credit to him for not allowing the Rays to take the lead.
Yeah. Rivera is coming in. Hopefully he won't blow the lead.
Damn, my Dad just truned the TV off. Now I can't watch the game.
I'm tired. Night.
Night Liam.
Hey guys, I'm back. Decided to go watch a couple innings with my parents.
2-2 going into the bottom of the 9th, I think I feel a pie coming on!
What a inning by Mo
I'm calling Swisher.
True Durden. The guy is unbelievable.
Not a bad choice Greg. I would love to see A.J. get him with a pie, and then Swish runs into the clubhouse and douses him in a Red Bull!
I'm going with Jorge or Swish.
Ok this is kinda odd. When I leave you guys start talking again and when I come back everyone leaves.
Is it me?
NICE!
Nick The Stick! Way to go Swish!
YOU CALLED IT GREG!!!!
WALK-OFF HOMER NICK SWISHER, YANKEES WIN 3-2!!!
BALLGAME OVER!! YANKEES WIN!! THAAAAAAAAAA YANKEES WIN!!!
boo
what?
Awww, it's okay Anon, don't cry.
seriously, go back in the hole you came from.
Hahaha what a loser.
Man, 90 wins, we are on a roll right now. I can't wait for the postseason to start, we really got a shot of going all the way.
I'm always excited when the Yanks win the divison or get to the playoffs, but the past 4 or 5 years we didn't really have great teams, ya know? We had a good team, just not a team that could last in the playoffs. This year we have our best team since 2003 and really have a chance to go deep into the playoffs. So I'm siked!
Let's give Cashman and the Yanks credit for picking Swisher up in the winter. He's proved to be an absolute steal - both on and off the field. Let's hope Derek gets a couple of hits tomorrow so he can break the record on Friday night when I'm at the Stadium. I DO WANT TO ROCK DJ!!!!!
OK derek needs 3 to tie 4 to break LOU's record, & Mo needs 2 more K's for 1,000. No small feat for a relief pitcher.... who will get there first?
Hindsight is 20/20 but Nady going down, thus allowing Swisher to be an every day player, seems to be a blessing in in disguise.
This is OUR year.
