Miranda On His Way

Chad Jennings is reporting that Juan Miranda has been recalled by the Yankees. If you're wondering about Austin Jackson and Zach Kroenke, Jennings said:
Austin Jackson said he hadn't heard anything definitive, but he's planning to simply go home to Texas. Zach Kroenke's not planning to go up either.
I would be very disappointed if neither got called up, but with no spots open on the 40-man roster I understand that it's difficult. We'll see what happens.

We need to trade Juan Miranda this offseason and capitalize off his good season at scranton. He really has no use for the yankees with Teixeira on the team. Also Swisher best position is firstbase. You got Shelly Duncan back on the 40 man. Miranda is like 4th on the depth chart.

If Hughes next year is going back into the rotation. You can include Miranda in some kind of package to get a setup guy.

You're probably right. Hopefully he does well over the next two weeks and opens some eyes.

My thoughts on Jackson and Kroenke not getting called up is they probably dont have any room on the 40 man. They DFA Claggett to get Guzman on the team that was probably the last move they could make.

I know Jackson and Kroenke both have to be on the 40 man this winter or they would lose them to the rule 5 draft.

But after the season you have guys like Edwar Rameriez, Guzman, Hairston, Mitre, Molina & Hinskie that will probably not be back next year.

I really don't follow prospects but wasn't he the one projected to be a full-time DH, or am I thinking of Montero?

Yea you're probably thinking of Montero. A lot of people believe Montero will end up DHing because of his size.

The Yanks have some minor leagues on the Dl, Garcia and De La Rosa that can be called up and then put on the 60 man dl making room for a few more guys.
