Bring on the Phillies

Your 2009 American League Champion New York Yankees!!!!

Behind a great performance by Andy Pettitte, the Yankees were able to defeat the Angels 5-2 in game six of the ALCS to win the series 4-2. For the 40th time the Yankees will head to the World Series.Johnny Damon picked up a big two-run single, A-Rod reached base five times, and Mariano Rivera came in for a six-out save. Andy Pettitte is now the all-time postseason wins leader with 16. CC Sabathia was named ALCS MVP.

The Yankees will now meet the Phillies in the 2009 World Series, starting Wednesday night in the Bronx. CC Sabathia will go up against Cliff Lee.

I'm sure most of you are feeling this way right now, but it is so sweet ending the Angels season. I'll have a full summary later. Time to go enjoy the YES postgame.

This is all that remains of the rally monkey:
