Series Preview: Yankees @ Rays

Again, this series is meaningless so I don't have much to say about it. It will be interesting to see if Tex can hit another homer and get to 40, if CC can reach 20 wins for the first time in his career, and if Jeter can hit two more homers to set the record for most players with 20 or more homers on a team. Besides that, the only thing that matters is that nobody gets hurt.

YANKEES:
- Chien-Ming Wang, SP: 15-day DL is done for the year after arthriscopic surgery on his shoulder. He will likely be out for 12 months.
- Xavier Nady, RF: Done for year, season-ending Tommy John surgery. 10-12 months to recover.

RAYS:
- Jason Isringhausen, RP: 60-Day DL with a torn right elbow ligament.
- Troy Percival, RP: 60-Day DL after having right shoulder tendinitis.
- Carlos Peña, 1B: 60-Day DL with a fractured left hand - out for season.

certainly looks like Pettitte is going to go after CC in the DS with the way thats set.

I think its a mistake going back to back with lefties there.
