Yanks One Of Eight Teams Interested In DeRosa

According to Jon Heyman, eight teams have already made calls to free agent Mark DeRosa inquiring about his services. Those teams include the Mariners, Nationals, Dodgers, Phillies, Rangers, Orioles, Giants, and Yankees.

I'm not sure what kind of role he would have on the Yanks -- like most potential moves would depend on what happens with Damon -- but he can play anywhere on the field and can still hit so he would be valuable to many teams. Still, he probably wants a guaranteed starting spot and I'm not sure he'll get that on the Yanks.
