Baseball America's Top 10 Yankees Prospects

Baseball America came out with their list of the top 10 Yankees prospects today (hat-tip to River Ave. Blues). Here's that list:
1. Jesus Montero, c
2. Andrew Romine, c
3. Arodys Vizcaino, rhp
4. Slade Heathcott, of
5. Zach McAllister, rhp
6. Manny Banuelos, lhp
7. Gary Sanchez, c
8. J.R. Murphy, c
9. Jeremy Bleich, lhp
10. Andrew Brackman, rhp
If you are a subscriber you can check out their scouting reports here. One thing that stuck out from that scouting report is that they said Montero's defense behind the plate improved.

They also ranks players with the best tools. Montero was named the best hitter for average and power. Andrew Brackman has the organizations best fastball. Vizcaino has the best curve. Best slider went to Mike Dunn. And Manuel Banuelos got best changeup. Two guys who saw some time with the big club last year were giving defensive nods, with Francisco Cervelli named the best defensive catcher and Ramiro Pena named best defensive infielder. The rest of the best tools list can be seen at the link above. Keep an eye on Vizcaino and Banuelos, these are two guys you may not have heard of who could be really good pitchers in the future.

John Manuel will be discussing the Yankees farm system today at 3 p.m.
And you can also pre-order their 2010 Prospect Handbook, which I would suggest you do if you're interested in the minor leagues. It's really well done.
