Gammons Leaves ESPN, Headed to MLB Network

It was reported earlier today that Peter Gammons will be leaving ESPN after this winter and will be joining the MLB Network.

"My decision to leave ESPN and move on at this point in my life has been conflicted," Gammons said in a statement. "ESPN gave me a great deal more than I gave it, and will always be a huge part of who I am."

Even though Gammons is a Red Sox fan, he's in the Hall of Fame for a reason. I know a lot of Yankees fans hate on Gammons but I've always thought he did a very good job. Losing him is not good news for ESPN, a network I barely even tune in to during the baseball season now that the MLB Network is around.
