George Steinbrenner was not on hand when the Yankees started their organizational meetings with an afternoon session Wednesday at the team’s spring training complex in Tampa, Fla.The full-scale meetings begin tomorrow.
Team president Randy Levine and chief operating officer Lonn Trost were among the officials at George M. Steinbrenner Field with managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner and co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner.
The team will discuss whether the should ymake a bid to acquire ace Roy Halladay, re-signing Hideki Matsui and Johnny Damon, and taking a look at the rest of the FA market. They'll also probably discuss whether they should sign Aroldis Chapman.
