Yanks Won't Tender Wang

With Saturday being decision day for the Yankees, Ken Davidoff is reporting that the Yankees will not be tendering him a contract.
The Yankees’ top priority this offseason remains improving their starting rotation. On Saturday, however, they’ll bid farewell to the pitcher who has won the most games since Brian Cashman became a bona fide general manager. Chien-Ming Wang, still rehabilitating after right shoulder surgery, will not be tendered a contract by the Yankees Saturday. He might very well top the list of non-tenders throughout the industry.
The Yankees do not believe that Wang will be able to make an impact next season even though Wang's agent, Alan Nero, says the Wanger could be ready by opening day and will likely be ready by the beginning of May. As you know, Wang is coming off season-ending shoulder surgery, his second major shoulder surgery of his career.

If I'm the Yankees I still offer him a small incentive laden contract, I don't see how that can hurt the Yanks. Still, it appears that Chien-Ming Wang's days as a Yankee are over.
