Yanks and Mitre Agree On Deal... And Other News

From Jerry Crasnick:
Pitcher Sergio Mitre avoids salary arbitration, agreeing to $850,000 deal with the Yankees. Contract includes some performance incentives.
This is a decent move for the Yanks. Mitre could be valuable if and when the Yanks lose a starter to an injury. Like I always say, you can never have too much pitching.

Two more bits of info for you:

- The entire Yankees coaching staff will be back next year.

- Eric Hinske agreed to a one-year deal with the Braves.
