Final Writer Update Before It Becomes Official

OK guys, I know I've been dragging this out for a while, but I've already begun informing some of the new writers that they will be joining the team, and am just waiting for one or two more sample posts to figure out who will get the final spot or two. From that run on sentence you may assume that there will be a large number of new additions. Well, that assumption would be correct.

In the beginning of this process I was only going to add five, but that number may have doubled. Several guys will be doing minor league work, there will be a new graphics guy/writer, a few stat/saber guys, and a bunch of people who will be writing general opinion pieces.

The main concern I have right now is that there will be too many posts and you will suffer from information overload. I'm sure some of you may be thinking the same thing. But I will handle this and make sure the blog remains... umm... reader friendly. Some of the writers won't be posting daily, and I have some other ideas on how to make sure this won't happen and will go over them with each of the new writers. If this becomes an issue to any of you I hope you will email me and let me know. I have told those I've already emailed and will tell the others that the key for them should be quality over quantity. These additions are being made to create a community of writers on SIH and so that you guys get a better, more well rounded look at your favorite baseball team.

BLOG RELATED SIDE NOTE: I know there have been problems over the last few days with Disqus. It's not just this site, but all sites using Disqus, including MLB Trade Rumors. They're currently ironing out all their problems and things should be running normally soon.
