Not The Birthday Present He Was Expecting

During the third inning of today's game down in Tampa, Francisco Cervelli was hit on the helmet by a 3-2 pitch from Zech Zinicola. He fell and remained on the ground around a minute, before being helped off the field by Steve Donahue. He left the game with a concussion and was then taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for a precautionary CT scan, which, according to Brian Cashman (via RAB) came back negative.

I'm sure he'll be fine, but it's still gotta suck to get bean in the head, especially on your birthday.
