Yanks Make Five More Cuts, Resolve One Roster Spot

According to Marc Carig, the Yankees have cut Greg Golson, pitchers Jonathan Albaladejo and Mark Melancon, and infielders Juan Miranda and Kevin Russo. Each has been sent to minor league camp. This means that Ramiro Pena will start the year on the Yankees bench as their utility man. Not a big surprise.

That leave the fifth starter and the final bullpen as the only spots on the roster still undecided.
