After the game Jeter had this to say about his hand and his recent slump:
Jeter always says he's fine so I'm not sure what to take from it. Also, with him slumping so bad the Yankees other injuries are starting to become an issue for this lineup."He said he's fine," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "My guess is it's going to be a little sore, but he said he's fine."

"All you can try to do really is just have good at-bats and hit the ball hard," Jeter said. "You'd love to get hits all the time. Today, I got a hit and I hit 10 balls [on the trip] harder than I've hit that one. Today, fortunately, I hit it in the right spot. I need to get on base a little bit more."
