Mets executive Dave Howard said that the Mets, with their "declining attendance figures under scrutiny," have offered the free tickets to a select number of former season-ticket holders.Mets attendance is down from 38,941 last year to just 31,891 this season. I guess when attendance drops like that you've got to be creative. But I'm very surprised that these games aren't sold out of close to it. I guess many people are just as bored with the Subway Series and interleague play as I am.
