Robinson Cano also left tonight's game after being hit on the knee with a 92 mph fastball by Josh Beckett. He tried to stay in the game and run the bases but took himself out two pitches into the following at-bat. After the game Joe Girardi told Marc Carig that he'd "be surprised if Robbie played tomorrow."
Andrew Marchand says that Girardi said Robbie is day-to-day and that the Yankees will call up an infielder to take Johnson's spot on the roster when he hits the DL.
More info as it comes.
