Thames Close To Returning

According to Chad Jennings, Marcus Thames did running drills yesterday, and if he reports no problems today he's scheduled to begin a rehab assignment in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tonight. Guys like Colin Curtis and Chad Huffman have filled in nicely, but with Thames hitting .302/.412/.442 against lefties this year, the Yankees could certainly use his bat.
