Damon Oppenheimer a candidate for Dbacks GM Job

Ken Rosenthal and John Paul Morosi are reporting that Yankees vice president of amateur scouting Damon Oppenheimer is one of the six leading candidates to become the Diamondbacks next GM. The DBacks will begin interviewing these candidates over the next two weeks.

Kevin Towers, the former Padres GM and current Yankees adviser, is also one of the top six.

As Mike at RAB points out, Oppenheimer, director pro scouting Billy Eppler are going to eventually leave the Yankees a for "bigger and better things". I just selfishly hope it's not now.
