Hughes Hammered As Rangers Tie Things Up
Phil Hughes had nothing today as the Rangers knocked him around for 7 runs on 10 hits over just 4 innings. I'm not sure why Joe Girardi left him in there so long, but this isn't exactly the first time we've seen him do that with a starter. Although it might be the first time we've seen it happen in a playoff game.
Anyway, the Yankees got the split on the road, which is usually what you're looking for in these types of series, and now head home with a huge game three on the horizon. It will be Andy Pettitte vs. Cliff Lee in that one at the stadium on Monday. What are your thoughts as the series heads back to the Bronx?
