Outfielder Carl Crawford has reached a preliminary agreement with the Boston Red Sox on a $142 million, seven-year contract, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.Between this and the Adrian Gonzalez trade, the Red Sox have really done a fine job improving their team. Very good moves by the Sox.
The agreement is subject to Crawford passing a physical, the person said Wednesday night. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal was not yet final
