Tex Leaves Game After Getting Hit By Pitch

Update: After the game, Joe Girardi said Tex has a bone bruise and he’ll probably need a few days, but also said that he doesn’t think he'll need to go on the DL. The Yanks may have dodged a major bullet here.

Teixeira update: Left the game with right knee contusion. X-rays were negative. Will be reevaluated tomorrow.

Mark Teixeira was forced to leave tonight's Yankees-Red Sox game after being hit being hit on the right knee by a Jon Lester in the 1st. He was in a lot of pain and limping as he was helped off the field.
