Granderson Close To Being A Yankee (Updated)

(Updated 1:49 p.m.) According to Jon Heyman the teams have agreed on the players and now the teams are reviewing medical records. The Yanks would get Granderson, Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy would go to Arizona, and Max Scherzer, Daniel Schlereth, Austin Jackson, and Phil Coke would head to Detroit.

I'm really not a big fan of this move, but we'll see how it works out. On the positive side, Granderson should see his offensive numbers improve in the new stadium and he's a solid defensive outfielder.

(Updated 1:21 p.m.)
Here's another update, this time from Ed Price:
#Diamondbacks and #Tigers waiting on #Yankees to sign off on 3-way deal. Answer expected by 2 pm Eastern
(Updated 12:54 p.m.) This update from Joel Sherman comes from the I have no clue what they're thinking department:
source tells me #Yankees not interested E.Jackson as part of deal
WHY?!?!?!

(Updated 12:08 p.m.)
Joel Sherman is now saying that the "3-way talks in which #Yankees get Granderson back on. 1 participant says there is momentum"

I honestly don't know what to believe anymore.

(Updated 12:04 p.m.)
Here's another update from Feinsand:
Yankees would still give up Austin Jackson for Granderson, but one of the other 3 pitchers - most likely Mike Dunn - would be downgraded.
I don't know about you guys, but I really don't want to give up AJax for Granderson.

Jon Heyman is also reporting that even if the Yankees trade for Granderson they may still try and re-sign Damon.

..........................

This comes from Mark Feinsand's Twitter:
Granderson to Yankees may not be a dead issue, but it won't be for the 4-player package (Ajax, Coke, Dunn, Kennedy) in that 3-way deal.
That's good, because the Yankees would have been ripped off in that deal. I'm interested to see what kind of package the Tigers will ask for now.
