The Giants have made Steve Spagnuolo the highest paid coordinator in the NFL today, signing him to a three-year contract worth more than $2 million per year. "I appreciated Mr. Snyder giving me the opportunity to visit with him," Spagnuolo told ESPN. "I have a great deal of respect for him and the Washington Redskins organization. I was happy to have the opportunity to explore that situation, but I am equally happy to be staying in New York and look forward to continued success with the Giants."
This is great news for the Giants and their fans. What he and his defense did to the "greatest offense in the history of the NFL" was remarkable. And unlike 1990, when Parcells and Belichick abandoned ship, this Giants championship winning team will have its coaching staff intact for their attempt to go back-to-back.
