Some More Info on the New Stadium

First of all, Peter Abraham posted a lot of great info on the stadium that can be found here.

Besides that, ESPN reported that the cost of the stadium has gone up to $1.3 Billion. The original cost was supposed to be $1 billion.
"We tried to reflect a five-star hotel and put a ballfield in the middle," said Yankees chief operating officer Lonn Trost, who hosted a media tour Thursday.
Here are a few brand new artists renderings of the stadium, as well as a picture of a model.

Sweeny Murti of WFAN posted a great slide-show that can be viewed here.

I still hate the restaurant in center field with a passion, which not only is an eyesore, but will also - according to Peter Abraham - obstruct the view of people sitting on either side of it. You would think that the people in charge of this project would have avoided something like this, but obviously they have not.

Besides that, the stadium should be a great place to watch a ball game.

In other stadium news, the Yankees are likely to rename Legends Field in Tampa, George Steinbrenner Field. The AP is reporting that Tampa officials given this the OK, and that the Yankees are likely to officially do this on Feb. 29th.
