Yanks Allow Pettitte to Report Late

From MLB.com:
TAMPA, Fla. -- The Yankees have given Andy Pettitte permission to report to Spring Training on Monday, four days after pitchers and catchers were scheduled to report, according to general manager Brian Cashman.

Pettitte called Cashman on Tuesday night and requested permission for the extension.

"I know what he's going through right now is not an easy situation," Cashman said. "I suspect that although it's not an easy process, that he is strong enough that he'll get through it over time."

Andy should just get back between the lines. I've heard players say for years that when times are the hardest the best thing to do is just get back out on the field.

I don't think sitting home in Houston and letting this thing fester is the best thing for Andy right now. He needs to get back to the ballpark, and move forward.

Pettitte is a rat, he should be ashamed of himself for ratting on a friend like he did.
