-Peter Abraham is reporting some good news about Jorge Posada; according to the KC team doctor he has been diagnosed with a shoulder strain and should only miss a few days. “It’s good news because it’s not serious,” Posada said. Girardi also said that Posada can DH.

- He also reported that Morgan Ensberg will go on the 15-day DL with an ankle injury.

- OK, so it turns out Ensberg is not going on the DL, instead, Shelley Duncan has been optioned to Scranton to make room for Alberto Gonzalez.

- The forecast for K.C. is not great tonight, but they should get the game in. There's a chance of light rain throughout the night. Here's the weather.com forecast.

- Girardi held a short team meeting before batting practice tonight, to "emphasize doing things the right way."
