Cox and Melancon Promoted
According to John Nalbone of The Star-Ledger the Yankees have promoted J.B. Cox to AAA Scanton/Wilkes-Barre, and right-hander Mark Melancon who had been with Tampa, has been promoted to a Trenton. Cox was 0-0 with a 1.35 ERA and a save for Trenton and Melancon was 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA in 13 G for Tampa. He also struck out 20 and walked only six in 25 1/3 innings.

looks like reinforcements could be on the way! I heard that Cox is a Huston Street type pitcher, is that right?
I'm not sure if he's like Street, but Cox has a very good slider, that he has good command of and a low-90's fastball. I think we'll be seeing him be called up at some point this year. Especially if they end up moving Joba into the rotation.
I watched Cox pitch a scoreless 8th inning tonight. The first batter reached on a throwing error by Nick Green. He got the next 3 batters on groundouts. He threw a lot of very sharp breaking sliders. Impressive.
