PITCHING: Jeff Karstens was activated from the DL and picked up his 1st win of the season (1-2). Karstens went 5 innings giving up 2 runs (1 earned) in 5 innings, on 4 hits, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. His best game of the year. The 1st run scored in the 3rd inning when an error, single and walk, loaded the bases. A sac fly drove in the run. The 2nd run scored in 5th inning on a double and single.

David Robertson pitched scoreless 6th and 7th innings. Robertson got 4 strikeouts and issued 1 walk, and no hits. ...Billy Traber pitched a scoreless 8th inning giving up a single and getting 1 K. ... Scott Patterson came on to pitch the 9th. He gave up a leadoff double and then struck out the side.
