Wow what a play by A-Rod.

Game changer.

Yea, huge play there by A-Rod.

Hey Girardi, why the heck are you sending a runner against Oswalt?

Hopefully he went on his own, because sending him there is stupid. People just don't steal on Oswalt.

Oh shit, Wang looks really hurt. This could kill the Yanks season. And he was finally looking like he was back to form and the Yanks were finally turning things around too. Damn, I feel like I just got punched in the stomach.

damn wangs hurt. unbelievable that he can't even run 180 feet without getting hurt. as a human being he should be able to run that far, let alone a pro athlete.

we still have arod

I feel the same way anon, everything was going their way and now this. Just devastating.

I really have to question Bobby Meacham, you know he's your ace pitcher, you know he's not used to running the bases, why risk it? Why make the guy run hard when he's not used to it?

Greg Cohen said...

Wow, they're really pouring it on now.

it didnt look like a season ender, -best case 2-3 weeks -worst case 2-3 months. I dont even know what he hurt, but he was able to make it home. -And the bats are exploding.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what Bobby Meacham was thinking. I really don't understand how you send your pitcher home there.

And I understand he was running because it was a 3-2 pitch, but it's too risky IMO. I was even saying it as the play was happening to a friend of mine; 'he better not send him home.'

Hank please fire this moron.

if willy gets fired, you think we can pick him up?

Greg Cohen said...

I'd be very happy if that happened, but we both know he'd never do it. Unless of course he was looking to give the Mets a big F U.

You can't blame Meacham there... He had to send him. He was already on third when the ball was going through the hole.

Greg Cohen said...

Look, you may be right anon, and I may just be frustrated, but now the Yanks could be dead because of this.

Let's hope this isn't long-term.

Anonymous said...

If this is long term do you think the Yanks should make a push for CC?

Greg Cohen said...

First I'd give McCutchen a chance, then see what happens from there.

But the CC trade talks are certainly going to be all over the papers in the next few days, especially is Wang is out for more than 2 weeks.

the schedule isn't too bad up to the allstar break, so if its 4 weeks or less, we should still be in good shape. You never know something good can come out of this... whether its bringing some one up, acquiring a player or having a stronger Wang later in the season

Greg Cohen said...

My fear is that this is a season ender. Look at what foot injuries did to Giambi last year and Bruney this year. I don't see how anything good can come out of losing your No. 1 pitcher.

Man, what looks like could've been the beginning of something great end up turnin to a cluster fuck.

Taiwan's stock market is SELLIN HOT right now haha.

LOL I bet it is Derek, but this could be a killer for this team. Especially when you consider how well he pitched his last two outings.
