PITCHING: Alfredo Aceves made his AAA debut, which was delayed due to a trip to the DL with a groin strain. He pitched 3 scoreless innings. Aceves tossed a perfect 1st inning, striking out Brandon Inge on a curve. He gave up a single in the 2nd and 2-out triple in the 3rd, but got Inge to make the final out on a groundout. Aceves threw 49 pitches--32 strikes. Aceves line: 3.0 IP, 0 runs, 2 hits, 2 K's--0 walks. 2 groundouts--4 flyouts.

Kei Igawa, who was originally slated to start this game, came on to pitch in the 4th. He gave up a solo homer on his first pitch to give Toledo a 1-0 lead. Igawa pitched scoreless ball after that into the 9th inning. In the bottom of the 9th with the scored tied at 1, he gave up a leadoff single and sac bunt and was relieved by Chris Britton. ... Britton gave up the game winning rbi single. The run was charged to Igawa who took the loss (8-5).

OFFENSE: The Yankees picked up their only run in the 8th inning. Matt Carson tripled (4), Alberto Gonzalez followed with the RBI single to tie the game at 1. ... Carson also had a single to go with his triple. ... Juan Miranda had 3 singles. ... Cody Ransom added a double and single.

NOTES: Cody Ransom replaces Justin Christian on the AAA All Star Team. ... Dan McCutchen gets the start Wednesday, as the road trip continues at Columbus.
