PITCHING: Alfredo Aceves started and got the win (1-0). He threw a perfect 1st inning and a scoreless 2nd allowing 2 singles. In the top of the 3rd, the SWB offense was at bat for about a half hour. Aceves was not sharp after that. In the bottom of the 3rd he gave up 4 runs on 2 singles, a 3-run homer, and solo homer to make the score SWB 10-4. Aceves got out of a jam in the 4th with the help of Matt Carson throwing out a runner at the plate.. He threw a scoreless 5th, giving up a double. Aceves got the first 2 outs of the 6th before giving up 2 walks and being relieved. Aceves line: 5.2 IP, 4 runs, 8 hits, 2 K's---3 walks. He threw 90 pitches--59 strikes.
