Yea, just saw that, I added it to the notes. Thanks for the update.

Giambi is back!!! WOOOOOOO!

Anonymous said...

that call was horseshit. It didnt touch him.

Greg Cohen said...

Just another example of the worst umpires MLB has ever seen. I'm only 25, but I have never seen umpires get more calls consistently wrong than this year. It's freaking ridiculous.

FUCK!!

Greg Cohen said...

And now it comes back to kill us. Unreal.

The umps just blew the lead for us, and also took an inning away from Joba, now hi spitch count has increased dramatically. He should be 1 out into the 6th now. We cant let this one get away.- Fuck now he might be hurt.

Greg Cohen said...

OMG, now Joba is hurt, and this all goes back to that stupid blown call. If he's hurt the season is over folks.

Anonymous said...

no!!! were done if this is serious. Thanks umps! Now you may have cost us the season.

please be a cramp. i remember i was pitching a couple of years ago, and i had a bad cramp in that same area. it felt like i screwed up my arm and tore something, but i was fine the next day. i'm hoping like my life is depending on it.

Greg Cohen said...

With the way things have gone for this team this year do you really think it's a cramp?

If Joba is out for more than 1 or 2 starts they're doomed.

And what do you know, first two on, and can't get a run in. This season has been a fucking disaster.

Greg Cohen said...

Yea, it gets to a point where you just feel that this team is snake bit. I'm just praying that Joba is fine, and that they can pull this one out. They can't afford to split of lose this series.

Anonymous said...

no, most likely he'll be out for this and next year, get injured again, miss another year and keep getting hurt- Mark Prior. They'll be very cautious with him.

If we cant score off their pen in the next 3 innings, this will be a bad loss, in more ways than one. Joba, Tampa lost, Red Sox were losing, are they now?- And it will be bad, b/c their whole pitching staff is awful.

we need to win 6 or 7 games this road trip, which will be very hard( more than 7 would be nice). Get this one!

Greg Cohen said...

Yea, Boston is still losing.

If Joba is out I don't see how this team can win anything. Rasner, Ponson and Giese as the 3-5? That may be the worst 3-5 in all of baseball. Maybe Hughes and Kennedy can help, but I really don't think they have a chance if Joba is out.

Greg Cohen said...

Apparently it's a "stiff right shoulder" for Joba, whatever the hell that means. Hopefully he wakes up tomorrow and feels fine. They cannot afford to lose him.

Now can they just go win this fucking game?

Nady, again! Paul O'Neill Jr.

Greg Cohen said...

Nady is the man. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite Yankees. The guys had CLUTCH written all over him.

nice job Marte. I dont think Farnsy would have been able to come back after a triple and get both batters out.

Anonymous said...

Red Sox lost

Anonymous said...

Jeter you fucking faggot. Stop sucking A-Rod off and get a god damn hit.

DAMN IT!!!

Anonymous said...

bullshit, get down ball. Is Mo available? Not for now ( a tie game), but for later hopefully.

Greg Cohen said...

Geeez man relax. I mean he hasn't been clutch in years, but seriously, calm down.

Anonymous said...

yeah he hasnt been clutch for a while. we needed one there.

Anonymous said...

i'm the calm anon.- Dan
hes the crazy one.- ?

Anonymous said...

lead off walk!? come on.

Anonymous said...

FUCK! kill me!

Anonymous said...

why do we always put ourselves in a hole every series? and especially in a 4 game series. now if we win 2 out of 3 we only split. this is a killer, both teams we're chasing lost, we had Joba on the mound, first game of the series, THOSE GODDMAN UMPS! I HOPE THE ALL GO STRAIGHT TO HELL!

Greg Cohen said...

Rough loss.

Don't know why Girardi stuck with Marte that long. But besides yesterday's wonderful 8th inning, he's been a moron all year, so what else is new?

This one might be the season with Joba going down.

I don't feel a bit of optimism after this one.

unless we sweep the Sox and Rays when ever we play them, we're in big big trouble. Does anyone else want to get hurt? These injuries are rapping us. Mo could be next.

Arod has looked lost at the plate, like 2-3 years ago. We need to get him going, and for him to carry us.

Pettitte, we need 7-8 good innings tomorrow. Our was used alot. Marte, the goat of the game along with the Umps, threw like 45 pitches. This team continues this rollercoaster ride, we suck, were good, we suck again. Enough!

Anonymous said...

* our bullpen was used alot * 3rd paragraph.

Painful. Mostly because we lost Joba for who knows how long.

Marlon Byrd? Seriously? Come on.

This season has been one disaster after another, and they still manage to stay in it. It's really a minor miracle that they're even still in contention at this point.

Joe Girardi on Joba (my best attempt at paraphrasing what he just said on the post game):

"[semi-upbeat] He's ok. It's in here [points to arm] but we think it's muscular. He'll have some tests tomorrow. We're not too concerned"

They weren't TOO concerned at the time because his velocity was still there. Joba originally felt some tightness on a pitch in the 4th, but it went away.

Of course, you never know, but muscular would be WAY better than ligament/tendon/cuff/labrum/cuff/etc.

Joba's postgame interview sounded relatively upbeat. He's definitely downplaying it, so I guess that's good. He says "it doesn't hurt in any of the wrong places"

The "stiffness" came and went a bit in the 4th and a bit later on.

He was asked "Are you concerned"

"You know, no."

He said the trainers moved his arm around and stuff and he felt no pain. It does sound to me like muscle soreness, which at least you'd hope wouldn't be the kind of season threatening (let alone career-threatening) injury.
