Joba Has Rotator Cuff Tendinitis

The Yankees announced today that Joba Chamberlain was placed on the 15-day DL, and has rotator cuff tendinitis. This is pretty good news, and most people don't believe this is anything too serious.

Joba will rest for a week, and will also be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs. After the week of rest, he will be re-evaluated. If cleared, he would then begin a throwing program.

The Yankees will obviously be very cautious with Joba, but there seems to be a pretty good chance that we will see Joba on the mound again this season. I've heard several people estimate that he may be out three weeks, which is probably the best case scenario.

The would be interesting, not sure how much I like it, though.
