For the second night in a row the Yanks had their asses handed to them by the Red Sox at The Stadium. These were the two most important games of the season, and both nights the Yankees stunk up the field. They played like the season was already over, and now, with the Yanks trailing by seven with 30 games to go, it might be.
Sidney Ponson was awful for the second straight start, this is the Sidney Ponson we were all expected, and now he's finally arrived.
Jose Veras and David Robertson could not keep the Yankees in the game, allowing the Red Sox to score seven times in the 8th to turn a 4-2 game into an 11-2 blowout.
It was an ugly night all around for the Yankees and their fans.
